"What if...?"
Nobody wants to think about the end of life, but during my career as an Elder Lawyer, I've been a part of many heart-wrenching discussions with patients, families, spouses and even personal friends. The tendency is to put those talks off until we’re forced to have them, but right now is the time for everyone to have that discussion.
Having a plan that works will give family and loved ones a peace of mind. Reach out to me to schedule a complimentary phone consultation (734) 475-2100. We can help you make informed decisions.

VIDEO WILLS NOW ALLOWED
Last night (April 8th) Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed an executive order that suspends the current laws until May and allows me to notarize and witness estate planning documents via video conferencing.
You can safely create a will, a health care advance directive, and more. And you can do it now.
Call or write to me to schedule a video consultation and get started.
Remember that Michigan HAS NOT altered the requirement that witnessing of testator's signature must be done in-person. (sigh)
* UPDATE: On April 8th Governor Whitmer signed Executive Order 2020-41, which temporarily allows remote notarization and witnessing of wills and other estate plan documents. *
Estate planning lawyers we talked to this week said they had been getting more calls since the outbreak worsened.

First 80+ Zoom Video experience
One problem.. My mom has an older iPhone and is an ace with email, messaging, and calls including FaceTime. Today she wasn't able to navigate the app store and download the Zoom app on her own. That left us without a way for her to join our test meeting.
..will update once we get the app loaded.
