Olsen practices Immigration & Nationality Law exclusively, and he is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association & the Immigration Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association. Olsen counsels businesses regarding temporary work visas & permanent residence sponsorship for foreign national employees, and he assists U.S. citizens and Permanent Residents with sponsoring family members for
immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, and counsels clients on obtaining U.S. Olsen received his B.A., with honors, from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from Southern Illinois University and is a published poet. He received his law degree from William and Mary School of Law where he was a member of the William and Mary Law Review. Olsen serves as the Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association's Immigration Law Section. During 2004 thru 2008, Terrence L. Olsen served as the Chairman of the World Trade Society of Chattanooga, and he hosted trade delegations to the Chattanooga area from countries such as China, Russia, and South Korea. Olsen has served as an instructor of Bryan College's MBA Program and an adjunct instructor of Chattanooga State Community College's Immigration Paralegal course. He has given immigration law lectures to international students and advisors at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Southern Adventist University, Bryan College, Dalton State College, and University of Alabama in Huntsville.
