$70,000 settlement for my client.

A commercial truck driver was harassing multiple drivers on the road that day. Then they crashed into my client and totaled their truck. Fortunately, my client's injuries were minor, but the crash came within inches of being life-ending. Client left the scene in an ambulance and was treated in the ER, and the fear of that moment didn't end when they were discharged.

When a truck driver behaves this way, it isn't an accident in any ordinary sense. Trucking companies are responsible for who they put behind the wheel and how those drivers act on the road.

We didn't get the win, but I got to spend the day with our daughter as she experienced her first Tennessee game, with Checker Neyland, College Gameday, Air Force One flyover, the President of the United States, and we almost beat the #1 team in the country. Such a great day. Win or lose, I won! A day I will never forget.

25 years ago, I met the love of my life and I fell in love for the 1st time.

When we got married, we intentionally left God out of our vows. Despite that, our marriage thrived and has been beautiful in so many ways, but we felt it was important for us, our girls and our relationship with Christ to make that declaration official.

So today, 25 years after we met, we did just that. In a private ceremony with our pastor and only our daughters, we reaffirmed our marriage covenant so that God is now at the heart of us and our family.

Heather has been my saving grace in life. Where there was darkness, doubt, insecurity, shame, or negativity, she erased it with love, beauty, brilliance, kindness, and generosity. I truly did not deserve to meet someone who exceeds all of my dreams and expectations the way she has. She is the foundation of all that I have become. She is my biggest supporter and my biggest fan. She challenges and motivates me to always be a better man, husband, father, and believer.

25 years later and I love her more than I ever have.

Happy anniversary to my wife, my one and only love.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.

At 51 years old, I have finally been baptized. This morning I professed my faith in Jesus Christ as my savior to our church and the world. My wife stood by my side, as she always has, and our youngest daughter sang the final song of the service while our other two daughters watched with our niece, my brothers and their families, many more members of my family, long time friends and their children and grandchildren, and the men from my Bible study also came. They all came to witness this moment to support me. I am beyond blessed to have all of these people in my life. God is good and so is His love. If you never have, I pray you experience the Grace and Mercy He has given me. Amen.

A couple friends of mine have invited me to their wedding on the 3rd Saturday in October. The groom is a Bama fan. He knows I bleed orange. I've never been so conflicted. This is my outfit for the wedding. Go Vols!

On October 15, 2022, we watched Tennessee beat Alabama 52-49 as we traveled home from vacation up north. Moments later we crossed the state line and took this photo with her cutout. She was a Tennessee legend and a truly kind and generous soul. There are not many people that you can't say a negative thing about, but she was one of them. She filled our home with books from her Imagination Library and she filled our daughters' childhoods with some of their favorite stories. May she rest in heavenly Peace.
