That bottom corner office is my office home!!

I very much enjoy being a part of history. No matter how many times you walk this museum, I never feel like I see everything.

My landlord is amazing, the other tenants are very passionate about the building and friendly.

Being in the heart of the city definitely has its advantages.

I also hear they have space for rent in the sheriffs building!

The Eaton County Courthouse Square is a rare Michigan example of an intact nineteenth-century government complex. The showplace of the square, the stately Renaissance Revival courthouse built in 1883-85, was designed by D.W. Gibbs & Company of Toledo, Ohio. The interior features several marbleized slate fireplaces, stained glass and native butternut trim. A cast zinc statue of Justice crowns the building and towers above the city. On July 4, 1894, fire destroyed much of the courthouse. The structure was rebuilt almost exactly to the original plans. The 1873 Second Empire sheriff’s residence, built with an attached jail, is one of only a few of its age remaining in the state. The courthouse square is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Happy Friday!!

✨ A little update on my newest adventure...

I'm excited to share that Women for Impact of Eaton County is continuing to take shape!

As we finalize our bylaws, develop our brand, and refine our mission, we're also looking for passionate individuals to help build this organization from the ground up by serving on our Board of Directors.

Our vision is to empower women to make a meaningful difference by:
💜 Supporting community projects
💜 Mentoring youth and women
💜 Promoting volunteerism
💜 Collaborating with and strengthening the incredible nonprofits already serving Eaton County

Rather than reinventing the wheel, our goal is to fill the gaps, bring people together, and create opportunities for women to make a lasting impact in our community.

We're already working on our first youth-focused initiatives, including back-to-school hygiene kits and school supply projects, and we can't wait to share more as we grow.

If you're passionate about serving your community and would like to be part of building something meaningful from the very beginning, I'd love to connect with you. There are no membership or board fees—we'll be funded through community donations, grants, sponsorships, and fundraising efforts.

Let's make an impact together. 💜

What a great way to start my first day back to work! ☀️

Last week, I was at The Eaton County Fair watching our daughter show her cow for the first time. It was exhausting, hot, and sticky, but also incredibly rewarding and inspiring to watch her do something she loves doing. 🐄

Today, I spent my morning outdoors with a camera in hand, enjoying an amazing view. It prompted inspiring conversations with a dear friend and a huge step to a productive week! ✨️

How did you spend your Monday?
