From "Requirement" to "Passion": Why I Love Helping You Master NC Notary Law!

"The only way to do great work is to love what you do." – Steve Jobs.

When I first pursued becoming a notary in 1998, it was just a job requirement for my role at the Department of Social Services. I did my best to stay in compliance, but the excitement wasn't there—yet.

Everything changed when I saw the genuine gratitude and relief from the people I served. Helping others gave my seal a true purpose . But a viral YouTube interview in 2016 revealed a major gap: so many of you were reaching out with questions, wondering why your initial training hadn't prepared you for the real world.
I’ve always been a researcher at heart—the teenager who spent hours flipped through encyclopedias and library books . That same curiosity drove me to read the NC Notary Public Manual cover-to-cover multiple times and dive deep into NC Bar research to find the answers you need.

In 2020, I took my mission to the next level. I built a curriculum focused on "hands-on" learning, which launched in November 2022. Seeing 23 students work together to master sample documents was my proof: "If I build it, they will come!"
Today, my enjoyment comes from helping you understand notary laws and best practices in a way that is practical, compliant, and empowering.

What started as a job requirement in 1998 has become my life’s mission. I’m thankful for the path that led me here to help YOU.
