Please read and share this immediately to protect your business and data.

Scammers are actively mining our Secretary of State directory to target notaries via highly professional text messages and emails. As shown in the image, the text usually asks to notarize a "financial affidavit" but firmly insists on a 5–10 minute Zoom or Google Meet call beforehand to "review requirements."

❌ THE TRAP: The video link they send is malicious. Clicking it installs aggressive malware/viruses on your device or steals your passwords to hack your computer and client data.

⚠️ Red Flags & Rules to Protect Yourself:

Never click a link sent by a stranger.

Control the tech: If a client genuinely needs a pre-consultation, tell them you must generate and send the secure meeting link. A scammer will immediately ghost you.
