In my current practice I seek to become your trusted advisor in Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Real Estate Matters that deserve the upmost respect and detail. I have seen first hand the negative effects on a family stemming from a bad Estate Plan and no Estate Plan at all. An effective Estate Plan gives you peace of mind knowing that your family and property are taken care of. It also provides you with the comfort knowing that you have put plans in place for your health and finances in the event that you are unable to make those decisions yourself. Administering and Estate when a loved one has passed can be stressful. I seek to make the process easier by giving you peace of mind that your loved ones wishes are being carried out in the manner that your loved one intended and in accordance with North Carolina law. I look forward to working with you and becoming your trusted advisor.

Fall is just getting started in North Carolina! The cooler weather and changing leaves make this season one of the most beautiful times of the year.

The Blue Ridge Parkway offers some of the best views of the state if you are looking to get out of Charlotte. However, there are also plenty of fall activities here in town, from watching the Carolina Panthers to pumpkin patches, going apple picking, or getting lost in a corn maze.

This month, we celebrate the rich culture, traditions, history, and contributions of Polish Americans throughout our communities and across our nation.

Maria was born in Warsaw, Poland, and immigrated to the United States as a child. Her family’s 4,700 mile journey to Charlotte was the beginning of new opportunities in pursuit of a better life than what was available under the Communist Regime.

Polish-American Heritage Month is a beautiful reminder of the importance of family and honoring where we come from.

It is rarely a good idea to leave assets outright to a minor, because a minor child is deemed incompetent in the eyes of the law, so they cannot control assets they inherit. If assets are left to a minor, the court appoints a guardian to manage those assets until the child turns 18.

The best way to ensure your minor children are provided for if you die is to establish a Will and/or a Trust and appoint a guardian/Trustee to manage those assets for your minor children until they can receive their inheritance. One of the most common questions we are asked is how to avoid probate. The most comprehensive way to do so is to create a Trust.
