Deciding who will take care of your minor children if something happens to you is one of the most important decisions you can make as a parent. The most common way to appoint a guardian is to name them in your Will. You can name one person as a guardian or a couple as co-guardians. Springtime is graduation season! This month we celebrate our Grads!

If your child plans to move away for college, make sure they have medical directives in place. Medical privacy rules change as soon as a child turns 18, so college students need to give their parents authorization to make medical decisions on their behalf if they are incapacitated.
