Confidence starts with feeling prepared, and that's exactly what Dress for Success Triangle helps women achieve as they work toward financial independence.

Our Raleigh office proudly supported this mission through a clothing drive, organized by Sandra Corcoran and Allison Bradley. This drive helped stock the closets that provide women with a free interview or job-search outfit, along with a 10-piece workplace wardrobe to help them start their next chapter with confidence.

Please join us in congratulating two dedicated attorneys on their firm anniversaries: Rucha Dixit on five years, and Beth Bennett on ten!

Rucha, a workers' compensation attorney in our Charlotte office, is the first attorney in her family in four generations. She began her legal career in Mumbai, India, before relocating to Charlotte in 2015 and becoming licensed in North Carolina in 2020. Fluent in English, Marathi, and Hindi, Rucha brings a global perspective to her practice. Outside of work, her favorite role is being a mother to her young daughter, and she loves traveling and exploring new places with her family.

Beth, a civil litigation attorney in our Wilmington office, spent 10 years as a litigating plaintiff's attorney before joining Hedrick Gardner, giving her unique insight into how the other side views a case. A UNC Chapel Hill graduate, Beth enjoys an active lifestyle that includes SCUBA diving, snow skiing, and spending time with her husband, sons, and a houseful of pets.

Seventeen students across the Midlands will start the school year with the supplies they need, thanks to our Columbia office's Families Helping Families Back to School Drive.

Our team packed backpacks with notebooks, glue sticks, pencils, notecards, pencil holders, and other school essentials. The full backpacks were donated to Richland One elementary schools, Lexington One Elementary School, and Lexington Two Middle/High School.

Please join us in congratulating Sandra Corcoran, our Director of Administration & Talent Management, on her 20th anniversary with our firm!

Over the past two decades, Sandra has been instrumental in keeping our firm running smoothly. Her work spans hiring and coaching employees, managing commercial and professional liability insurance, negotiating office leases and overseeing upfits, and directing the day-to-day operations of our Raleigh and Wilmington offices. She has also been a friend and mentor to many along the way.

Outside the firm, Sandra has put her expertise to work volunteering in numerous roles for the Association of Legal Administrators, including Chapter President and Region 2 Representative.

In her free time, Sandra enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband, son, and their two Labs.

Attorneys and summer clerks from our Raleigh office gathered at Rush Hour Karting for a fast-paced end-of-summer outing. While only one emerged victorious, many others hurled accusations of cheating and possible vehicle sabotage. Pending results of the official review, the top three finishers were Preston Rollero, Creighton Knight, and Gavin Russell.

As our summer clerks head back to law school, we can’t wait to see where their careers take them!

Perry brings more than 25 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, tax controversies, and insurance defense. He worked for 12 years as a Special Deputy Attorney General with the NC Department of Justice, representing the Department of Revenue in high-stakes tax disputes.

He's argued before the NC Supreme Court, the NC Court of Appeals, and the Fourth Circuit, and brings a simple philosophy to every case: master the details, then simplify the message.

Outside the office, you'll find Perry cycling, at the gym, or near the water on the South Florida coast.
