A message from the sheriff regarding an ongoing phone scam.

Tis the season...

Unfortunately this time of year while so many have the heart of giving, others have the spirit of taking.

SCAM ALERT: If you receive a call from someone sounding very professional informing you that you missed jury duty and unless you pay a specific amount of money warrants will be issued for your arrest, a Sheriff's Deputy will show up at your home or you'll be required to pay fines, etc...DO NOT send money. This is a scam, hang up and contact 704-336-2543.
