Shawn McMillan is on the board for the American Cancer Society. Hope Lodge was the first facility of its kind in the country for cancer patients and caregivers. Up to December 18th, Hope Lodge is holding a raffle in Charleston, SC, where people will have the opportunity to win a painting by a prominent local artist. McMillan is proud to celebrate ! The focus of this month is the adoption of children currently in foster care. This campaign seeks to increase national awareness of adoption issues, bring attention to the need for loving, adoptive families for youth and teens in the foster care system, and emphasize the value of youth engagement. This is very close to the McMillan family’s heart 💚

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women in the United States. Ladies (and gentlemen), please do self checks and stay on top of your annual doctors visits! It could save a life!

We had a great time last night at our yoga class led by First American Title's Sarah Jo Hutto Funkhouser, our personal certified yoga instructor!! She has led this class for a second time now. Also want to give a shout out to Jennifer Bourbonnais, MEd, RD, LDN, for providing her delicious meal replacement cookies from Lifestyle Nutrition and Wellness, LLC.

Last, but certainly not least, George Sistrunk, Managing Partner with Hamilton Stephens Steele + Martin, PLLC, came in clutch with his “Short Britches” – wheat lager w/ peaches, keg from Town Brewing Co.
