It is an honor to be recognized with a select group of lawyers in the area of family and divorce law by Lawyers of Distinction. When I was first recognized back in 2018 I don't know if I truly appreciated the magnitude of the honor.

What makes this special is that membership is limited to no more than 10% of attorneys from any given State, and you are chosen from a selection board. You cannot pay to be nominated and you cannot pay to be selected. As a trial lawyer who is constantly in court handling criminal defense, family law and personal injury matters, I can say family law can be the most challenging on so many levels.

But for days like this, it is worth it for the people and families we serve, and a reminder of why I do what I do.

With the exception of the time that I was a District Court Judge the past 20 years have been spent advocating for clients in the areas of criminal defense, family law and personal injury. EARLY VOTING HAS STARTED! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Save and share this pic. There are 33 early voting sites in Mecklenburg county and all are open from 8am-7:30pm through November 2.

✅Get your sample ballot at ncsbe.gov and look up the candidates. Be an informed voter
✅You can register to vote and get your voter ID during this if you need to
✅ bring your ID! Need an ID? you can get one at the board of elections or at DMV
✅college students can vote with their student ID. Go to ncsbe.gov for the list of college IDs that are accepted
✅Vote the ENTIRE ballot!
✅Don’t skip the judicial races! These are credible
✅Vote AGAINST the constitutional amendment. It’s the okey doke designed to disenfranchise voters. (See the I posted explaining the reasons why you must vote against it)
✅Volunteer to knock on doors, make calls or work the polls. An hour can make a huge difference!
✅Make sure your friends and family vote
✅post a pic with your I Voted sticker to remind people to vote.

Imma need to see my male FB/IG/TT voter pics with your sticker on cause men who vote are sexy. 😍If you can vote and don’t you’re a scrub. 👹
