This accident occurred last Friday, just miles from our office in Charlotte. Dash cam footage from another vehicle captured the moment that a car with a woman and child inside hydroplaned. Her car went straight into the path of the oncoming tractor trailer. They collided and the tractor trailer then slid across several lanes until it jack-knifed into the barrier. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. As we continue to experience heavy rainfall this week, please remember to take extra precaution while traveling on slick roads.

Terrifying moments were captured on camera as a car spins wildly out of control on I-85 South before being hit by a tractor trailer. A mom and her son were inside, but Highway Patrol tells FOX 46 they are both okay, and that the child didn't have a scratch on him.

For the first time since the Great Recession, the U.S. has experienced three straight years of at least 40,000 roadway deaths, according to preliminary estimates released Feb. 13 by the National Safety Council. Discouragingly, last year’s estimated 40,000 deaths is 14% higher than four years ago. Enough is enough.

I had a hearing yesterday at the towering Mecklenburg County Courthouse. The judge who presided over the matter was patient, wise and virtuous. “Grant us Wisdom and Virtue” is inscribed on one of the walls in front of the courthouse - very fitting.

In front of the historic and stately courthouse in Wadesboro, Anson County, with my friend, colleague, and co-counsel, Wade Byrd. We just argued several motions in a wrongful death case stemming from a tractor-trailer wreck with a private motor vehicle.
