Any legal document that you can think of MUST be notarized. This just certifies that the principal (or signer)is who they say they are and the Notary is impartial to the document that is being signed. The Notary also verifies the signer before anything takes place.

Here are just a few items that can be notarized:

*Oaths and Affirmations
*Acknowledgements
*DMV Documents
*Loan Documents
*Estate Planning

And so much more!

So I know you're wondering, "What is a Notary?"

Well, I'm here to tell you!

A Notary Public is an official of integrity appointed by state government — typically by the secretary of state — to serve the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents. These official acts are called notarizations, or notarial acts. Notaries are publicly commissioned as "ministerial" officials, meaning that they are expected to follow written rules without the exercise of significant personal discretion, as would otherwise be the case with a "judicial" official.

Hi Everyone! I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself!

My name is Caila and I am a Certified NC Mobile Notary Public and Loan Signing Agent!

Now, if you don't know what any of that means don't worry! I'll explain all of that during my Notary Journey and I hope that you tag along and stay with me as I navigate this new phase of my life.

Well, a little back story; I became a Notary in December of 2022. I happened upon this profession a few months prior while scrolling on tiktok and I saw another mom speak of it. I did my research and decided to pursue it myself.

Now, every state is different but in NC, you are required to take a class (Mine was 8.5 hours) and take a test that you MUST pass with 80% or higher. After you pass the test you must send your notarized application to the NC Seceetary of State and wait patiently for your certification to come back; this can take up to 2 weeks. Once that's done you have to go to the Register of deeds to take your Oath and then you're all good to go!

I really hope you all stick with me during this journey. I'll share the good and bad, ups and downs and definitely the mistakes so that we all can learn and grow together.

So, WELCOME TO MY PAGE!!!! Let's get this party started!
