I had the amazing opportunity to join fellow Canopy Realtor® Association members in Raleigh on April 9th for the 2025 NC Realtors® Legislative Meetings! 🙌🏽

We walked the halls of the legislature, connected with our elected representatives, and experienced advocacy in action—championing the issues that matter most to Realtors® and the real estate industry in North Carolina. 🏡💼

Speakers included some of our state’s top leaders, including Representatives Mark Brody, Terry Brown, and Kelly Hastings, and Senators Dave Craven and Vickie Sawyer, among others. It was an inspiring reminder of the power of using our voice to protect and grow our profession!

It’s hard to put into words what I’m feeling right now. Losing someone you love with all your heart feels like you can’t survive without them. I thought when this happened, I’d die too. But we don’t. We have to keep going, even when it feels impossible.

Today, I had this overwhelming sense that something bad was going to happen, and now I understand why. The pain of losing someone so precious is unbearable. Every thought, every breath, every second without them feels like a piece of me is missing. I miss them so much, and I can’t stop thinking about how empty life feels without them here. I pray for strength, for peace, and for the courage to keep going each day, but it’s so hard.

I know I have to live with this pain, but right now, it feels like too much to bear.
