Behind every case we take on are real people—and that includes our team. ⚖️💬
For , we sat down with our own Bill Tiano and Tony O'Dell to talk about how they stay mentally sharp, grounded, and present in a high-pressure field like personal injury law. From finding perspective after tough cases to building a supportive culture inside the firm, this Q&A gives a meaningful look at what balance looks like at Tiano O'Dell. Because showing up for our clients starts with showing up for ourselves. 👇
Q: What helps you reset after a long or emotionally challenging case?
Tony: I’m a big believer in routine. After a heavy case, I go back to the basics — early morning workouts, dinner with family, and even walking our dog with my wife. Those routines help me re-center so I can bring my full attention and energy to the next case.
Q: As an attorney, how do you manage the mental pressure that comes with carrying clients’ pain and trauma?
Bill: You can’t ignore it — but you can channel it. I remind myself that our clients come to us in some of the worst moments of their lives. Being part of their path to justice is an honor. Perspective helps. So does stepping back, even briefly, to reset my mindset.
Q: What does "well-being" look like for you, personally?
Tony: It’s not about a perfect balance every day — it’s about sustainability over time. I try to be present at work, present at home, and aware when one needs more from me than the other. That awareness keeps me grounded.
Q: How do you foster well-being at the firm for your team?
Bill: We talk. We check in. We support each other. Law can be isolating, but not here. If something’s off, we catch it early — whether it’s caseload-related or something personal. Our goal isn’t just to win cases, it’s to protect our people, too.
