Our favorite time of year! Be sure to stop by the Charleston square tonight from 4:45-6.

Today is the Day!

Come out to Chrismas in the Heart of Charleston tonight and enjoy goodies, entertainment, and lots of holiday fun! All activities/food outdoors is free while many of the shops will be offering specials during the event.

Below is the most up-to-date map for tonight. We will also have maps at each open business tonight in case you would like one.

Some festivities will start prior to the parade (4:45 pm) and all things will be in full holiday mode as soon as the parade is over!

Please note that due to a last-minute cancellation, there will be no carriage rides this year. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we hope to have them back next December.

The Business Interruption Grants (BIG) program will provide 1,000 grants of $10,000 each to qualifying businesses. Our Attorneys are well versed in the grant application process. I am working with attorney Jeffrey Kulwin to help a client in the fight against discrimination in our community. Please take a moment to read the JGTC's excellent article about the discrimination our client, Ethan Richardson alleges he faced while working as a pharmacy tech at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, all because he is gay. With the U.S. Supreme Court's opinion yesterday affirming the rights of LGBTQ+ workers, I agree with Jeff that change is coming to our community.

A former nursing student has filed a complaint against Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center claiming his sexual orientation caused him to face harassment while working in the hospital's pharmacy department.
