Our oldest, , hit a big milestone being honored for her academic work during her pursuit of her MBA. Chuck (1990) celebrated with her today. Next up: GRADUATION where her daddy will hand her the diploma! 🥰🔥🥰

Moultrie Winds MahJongg Society game night was too much fun. Our first night playing at a local restaurant and the host could not have been better. Great service and great food.

Zoom in on that little light under the door. New morning normal is tip toeing across the house to see if that light is on around 8AM or to listen to hear the sound of the Drive Walker moving. This is life on Hospice at home with Uncle Jimmy. Not sharing for sympathy but rather to say to others who are experiencing their own personal crazy, you are not alone. It’s not easy. I don’t have my answers and sure don’t have yours. But we take the little moments and just keep going. He’s up and eating breakfast in the kitchen. He pushed himself to walk back to the kitchen after breakfast yesterday. When I commented that he doesn’t have to do that, he replied… it’s just me Jimmy being Jimmy. Yes it is and I am so proud of him.

Hospice doesn’t mean tomorrow is the end. It means a change in approach to care of disease. Diagnosed in 2009 with Hurthle Cell Thyroid cancer, Uncle Jimmy has been a trooper with fantastic healthcare by teams in both NC and SC. Who knows the days any of us have? He and one of his buddies enjoying a beautiful sunset over Lake Moultrie tonight. People have asked what we need. Just love on your people. (And give me extra grace in responding.)

Creating moments that turn into treasure’s memories! My only regret tonight was not having more of my friends with me. So many genuine deep belly laughs and a few tears were shed. Could not be more proud of going for the gusto with her second book published. brought the perfect southern touch with tea sammies, cheese straws and lemon bars. was on top of their game and the best hosts, per usual. And did I mention I won the Hamby’s boat bag and gift card? IYKYK! 🤣🤣
