Looking forward to attending the ABA Section of Labor & Employment Law annual CLE Conference in Denver, CO, on November 12-15, 2025. Having completed my three-year term as the neutral co-chair of the State & Local Government Employment & Collective Bargaining Committee, I will be able to attend the meeting without performing any administrative or leadership duties, just enjoying the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in cutting edge L&E topics.

I am looking forward to attending the 16th Annual ABA Labor & Employment Law Conference in Washington, DC from November 9-12, 2022, particularly the two public sector panel discussions I helped plan as neutral co-chair of the public sector track: "Legal and Labor Implications for Public Employers Implementing DEI Initiatives: Good Intentions Don’t Guarantee Good Results" and "Protecting Public Sector Employees When 'Truth' and Politics Collide." I believe these are truly timely topics for practitioners working in the public sector.

Just completed attending the ABA's virtual Labor & Employment CLE conference for the past two days. Lots of valuable CLE programs. Now busy preparing for the midwinter meeting of the ABA Committee on State & Local Government Bargaining and Employment Law, working on the ethics presentation with my subcommittee co-chairs, and helping with the planning of the CLE presentations as a newly-appointed neutral co-chair for Programming.

I conducted a two-day virtual arbitration hearing this week. I was in West Virginia while counsel and all parties and witnesses were on St. Thomas and St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. Zoom worked flawlessly with the only glitch coming at the end of the hearing when a power outage on St. Croix knocked both counsel off the Internet until they could return on their cell phones.
