Please consider riding your motorcycle out this this Sunday May 7 to Scooters Grill and Bar in Raleigh to participate in the 16th Annual Raleigh Pink Ribbon Ride. 100% of the net proceeds from Raleigh Pink Ribbon Ride will be donated to 1 of Us, a local non-profit. 1 of Us was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina with a mission of helping women undergoing cancer treatment. 1 of Us is committed to providing assistance that directly impacts the lives of women who are undergoing breast and other gynecological cancers. The financial assistance 1 of Us provides to cancer patients makes a direct impact on the lives of families. From food, to transportation, to utilities, 1 of Us helps lessen the interruptions in the lives of a patient’s family. Registration for this great cause is from 8:30am – 10:30am and ride starts at 11:00am. If you are looking for a great motorcycle ride this Saturday moring in the Fayetteville area, come out for the NC Buffalo Soldiers Fayetteville 13th Annual Pony Express Charity Ride. Registration begins at 9 am at Fort Bragg Harley-Davidson. Lunch, refreshments, prizes, and the chapter members will have my motorcycle towels to give out. It is all for a great cause, as all proceeds will benefit community charities.

Congratulations to the Steelhorse Strangers MC on another successful toy run for the benefit of Santa’s Helpers of Person County, a great organization who help out Person County families of need this time of year. Monies collected from sponsors plus cash donations to participate in the ride plus donations collected by the Club throughout the year raised $62,000.00!!!!! This monetary donation along with toy donations from the Steelhorse Strangers MC 13th Annual Person County Toy Run allows Santa’s Helper of Person County to collect, buy and distribute toys and clothing to children in need from birth to age 16. Jarrett Shotwell and the members of Steelhorse Strangers MC do a great job every year of gathering sponsorships and donations from businesses and individuals, and from this years banner, I counted 244 sponsors, including the Champion Sponsor, Widowmaker Custom Design & Repair (thanks Hank). I look forward to sponsoring this great cause next year and being at the event to hand out my motorcycle towels.

All motorcyclists anywhere near Person County, come out to The Homestead Steakhouse & Restaurant in Timberlake this Sunday morning for the Steelhorse Strangers MC 13th Annual Person County Toy Run. Proud to sponsor the event again this year. Bring a new unwrapped toy of a minimum $10.00 value or a $10.00 donation per person and enjoy a motorcycle ride, a great meal and fellowship. All proceeds from the event will go directly to Santa's Helpers of Person County to distribute to the less fortunate children throughout the county. Jarrett Shotwell and the members of Steelhorse Strangers MC do a great job putting on this event every year. Come Out and lets help put smiles on the faces of the children this Christmas.
