And another piece of the Gateway Project falls into place... 🧩

Earlier this week the Gateway Development Commission awarded a $771m contract for the New Jersey Surface Alignment portion of the Hudson Tunnel Project to Skanska Creamer Sanzari NJSA Joint Venture, which will construct about 1.5 miles of new rail infrastructure connecting the future Hudson River tunnel to the existing rail network near Secaucus Junction. 🚆 The contract marks the seventh major construction package awarded for the and will help eliminate a critical bottleneck on the Northeast Corridor while advancing the larger effort to expand rail capacity between New Jersey and New York. 🚇

Last year Maraziti Falcon Partners Brad Carney and Joanne Vos were retained by the City of Hoboken as Construction Counsel in connection with the City’s active involvement with the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project, with Brad leading the firm’s construction practice.

Earlier this month, ground was broken on “The Willow,” a new six-story senior development at 1033 Willow Avenue in the City of Hoboken. 👷‍♂️🪏 Upon completion, the project at the corner of 11th & Willow will deliver 36 deed-restricted homes for residents 55 and older, marking ’s first new 100% affordable senior housing development in more than 30 years and helping longtime residents age in place.

Maraziti Falcon is proud to have played a role in advancing this important project. Partner Joanne Vos handled environmental issues related to historic discharges from a neighboring leaking underground storage tank that threatened to delay construction. Through negotiated Access Agreements and a Remediation Agreement requiring the neighboring property’s insurer to reimburse cleanup costs, the remediation work was completed and the project was able to move forward on schedule. 🤝

Not only that, but she finally earned her button, and got made by none other than Federico Castelluccio aka Furio Giunta from The Sopranos, who was a special guest at the event! 🇮🇹

The Vin Gopal Civic Association recognizes there are many groups affected by the unique high cost of living and struggle to maintain economic independence within our Central Jersey communities.

This country-themed event honors Dan and Christina Smith with the goal of ensuring that no Asbury Park child is turned away from summer camp.

We were proud to don some denim and cowboy hats in support of such a great cause!

A major milestone for the Hudson Tunnel Project: the Gateway Development Commission has awarded Package 1C to the Traylor/Walsh/Skanska joint venture, covering tunneling beneath the Hudson River and installation of the tunnel liner and floor, with work set to begin soon. 🏗🚇

With this latest award, six of the project’s 10 construction packages are now underway or complete, and all major heavy civil work for the tunnel’s core structure is either awarded or in progress.
