Let’s Talk Rent Increases

We know this is a very contentious topic for both tenants and landlords.

I hear about landlord greed all of the time in the news, social media, and when we have to share the news of an increase.

Did you know that the landlords mortgage can increase $50-100’s of dollars a month with the next payment due being increased?

It’s never fun to be the bearer of the news of increases. Please understand that the owners’ of your home also deal with increases (multiple throughout the year) plus if you have had HVAC, appliances, any type of work done - they need to recoup that outlay.

PSA: Brought to you by someone that just opened their mortgage statement to find out that our taxes went up so much that our next payment (in a couple of weeks) needs to be well over $150 more a month. HOA and insurance increases should be next. 🤷‍♀️

As everyone knows…we have merged with Zimmerman. Just like on all mergers, it takes a little time for things to shake out.

Although our phones are ringing like crazy, at this point, we are not taking on new listings as we need to devote our efforts into making sure that we continue to provide the service that we strive for.

Thank you so much for all of your support! We look forward to being ready to take on new properties/landlords within the next month or so.

We have grown! We are proud to announce that Jaris Realty, Inc. and Zimmerman & Associates Property Management joined forces and became one.

We feel honored today. A torch was passed to us and we accepted. This afternoon the papers were signed to make it official.

It was bittersweet for all involved. We are honored that we were the company chosen to merge with as there were many interested.

Some background for those that don't know, the world lost Mark in 2020. He was the face of Zimmerman. In addition to having the exact same business in our small town (it was small then), we were FRIENDS. We would call him and he would call us when those "unusual" situations arose. We may not have done everything the same but our thinking patterns were very similar.

Sandi and Marissa kept those lights on for the past couple of years. Sandi added Mark's business to her plate and that plate was full. We have been working side-by-side with her for the past many months, you may have even heard from us during this (Barry, Cheri, and Tim have all been burning the candle at both ends to make this happen). Sandi, thank you for "merging" into this lane with us. It's time for you to take a breath. We will honor Mark and his legacy.

To all of the Zimmerman & Associates Property Management landlords and tenants, WELCOME! We are looking forward to forming new and great relationships. Make sure to read the emails that have been sent out.
