Today has been a good day.

After a 3 year custody battle came to a final resolution, I was standing in the parking lot with my client. He shook my hand, said ”well done sir, thank you… from the bottom of my heart…” as his voice started to tremble. Then, he just hugged me. He was overcome with emotions. With joy and happiness. Today, after a brutal 3 year hiatus, my client got to see his little girl, he got to talk to her, he got to hug her, and a visitation plan was put in to place.

It’s days like today, when you finish the case and you have a happy client, that makes it all worth it.

Two days in a row, two different clients, specifically two mothers, have been reunited with their children after they were taken into DFACS custody. I am so incredibly proud of both my clients for the tremendous work they have put in to better themselves and their circumstances to become better parents and role models for their children. I am grateful to have played a small part in their success. Both of them have true success stories where they have jumped over every hurtle and worked through every obstacle in their way.. Absolutely awesome.
