This doesn't look right. I was driving back and yes maybe I am a little ADD and I noticed this in the distance. When I got to the stop light and just am so happy it turned red for me this time. I was able to get a video and zoom in to see what was going on.

When I lived up in South Lake Tahoe, I was surrounded by trees. So in order for me to see beautiful sunsets like these, I had to go find them or work at places with a view which I did. But since moving down to the valley, all I have to do is walk outside. I love it. To me this is a million dollar view and for half the price.

Looking back at 2022 and 2023 this reminded me of my time spent in the VC Highland of Northern Nevada. It's a wild and wonderful place. You are truly feel free in a way. But it is not for the weak if you want to live there year round. We had a massive propane shortage that year. The trucks were struggling to keep up with demand due to the shortage and the heavy snowfall. What good is a propane generator if you don't have propane. It was a rough one.

I learned so much caring for this property. At first I loved it going up there to do my house chores was something I looked forward too. The drive was beautiful and kind of fun. The area was so open and free the views. I loved it. Until that winter and I was most of the time alone moving snow up and down a North facing hill. I had to snow shoe up to the house to get the side by side to clear the driveway. Wow I can't believe I did it.

Anyways I still love it up there and I would not have traded that crazy experience for anything really. You live you learn its not the destination its the journey. This was a Journey for sure.

When the property sold it was bitter sweet for me. On to the next one.

I took my bike out to enjoy the clouds and prey for rain. It looks like we might get some, maybe? We do need it. All the weather looks to be East of reno.

I do enjoy watching thr weather come in. It's one of the bonuses to living in the valley.

Crispy Carson valley.

Going from Reno to Carson you commute through Washo valley. A beautiful windy valley with many wild horses and migratory birds. It is beautiful.

So many people drive by fast and miss all the beauty that this valley has to offer. I got lucky in October of 2022 and witnessed the running of the wild horse. I don't know if this was a round up it probably was. There were so many horses that year.

The significance of location in real estate remains vital, as it varies per individual buyer’s needs and lifestyle. Prioritizing location allows for renovations, while the property itself can…

One reason moving from Tahoe to the Carson valley is worth it. Enjoy a Friday afternoon in South lake in August. During a concert weekend.

There are pros and Cons to anywhere you live. I do miss spring time in Tahoe that is a magical time. I miss being able to bike to the beach from my house. Yes that was nice. But the reality of full time living in Tahoe got old after a while, or maybe I just grew up, or did Tahoe just change that much? I know many people I met here when I first moved to Tahoe have left the area. Many moved back to "home", some moved to different states. But many people leave. Some come back, some never do. Others moved to the Carson Valley before I did.

A few of my friends are still here in Tahoe. They are the locals that are holding on to the dream. God bless them I love you guys and miss you. Because Tahoe runs on Locals and tourists it's an interesting combination. It's not an easy place to live year round. Living in the Valley is like being in the suburbs of a city. Close enough but not in the madness 24/7 .

So where would you live full time? What's your priority right now?

Carson valley life, it's different down here, but in a good way. I thought I would miss the trees in Tahoe. I don't, because pine trees are evil ( that's a story for another time).

The sky down here is so beautiful. When I worked at the Tahoe Beach club I saw some amazing lake front sunsets. I am a sunset connoisseur. Yes watching the sun's rays reflect off the lake is beautiful. That said watching the colors of the surrounding mountains change all around you as the sky lights up and then cools down is it's own kind of magic that never gets old. Down here anyone can find a place to enjoy the view.

Anywhere you live will have its pros and cons.
