In August of 2025, a young man and his parents came into our office for a consultation. He already had an attorney, but his attorney told him that he was going to accept 5 years TDC (prison) at his next court date. When I asked him what efforts or negotiations were made to try for a better outcome, he shrugged, and said there were none that he was aware of.
I told him I couldn't promise him anything, but if he hired me, we would fight for a better result.
Today, he received 5 years of probation and got to go home to his family.
