Mark Gillingham joined Gillingham Law Office in 2018 and brings with him a wealth of litigation experience having prosecuted and defended hundreds of criminal cases as a former Sangamon County Assistant State's Attorney and McLean County Assistant Public Defender. During that time, Mark handled everything from minor traffic tickets to serious felony offenses. He also served as both the DUI prosecutor and the DUI defender in each of the respective counties, successfully trying many of those cases at jury trial. Mark handles a variety of criminal defense matters, including traffic tickets, DUIs, expungements, misdemeanor and felony charges. He regularly provides service in many practice areas including contract formation, real estate transactions, estate planning and administration (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, probate, etc.) and other general civil matters.

Mark serves his community as a volunteer Assistant Boy’s Basketball Coach at Carrollton High School. He also serves as a volunteer for the Illinois Lawyer’s Assistance Program which helps judges, lawyers and law students with substance abuse addiction and mental health problems.

Dick Gillingham is the founder of Gillingham Law Office and has been practicing law in West Central Illinois since 1985. During that time he has established a reputation for providing quality legal service to his clients. Dick draws on a wealth of experience to handle a variety of legal matters, representing clients in everything from adoptions to zoning issues. His practice focuses primarily on real estate matters, elder law issues and estate planning and administration (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, probate, etc). Dick also has extensive experience in general civil litigation.

Dick has served the legal profession since 2002 as a Board Member of the Illinois Lawyer’s Assistance Program which helps judges, lawyers and law students with substance abuse addiction and mental health problems. He also serves his community as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Boyd Hospital Foundation. He volunteers as a Sunday School teacher at his church and is a member of the church Diaconate.
