🦃Go Support Local This Thanksgiving! 🦃
Hello, Forkers! We have been thinking, and I’d like to float an idea for discussion. Traditionally, we are always closed on Thanksgiving for family as well as for our staff and their’s. My Mom and I were discussing Thanksgiving for us and have decided that we really don’t want to sit around the table at her house, looking at empty chairs once occupied by our loved ones who are no longer with us. So my thought is, if I can get a skeleton crew together, to open for an early off menu dinner. Smoke or roast some turkeys, with some sides, and do some Forked Up turkey sammiches. I kind of figure that there has to be other people in this town or downtown that have lost the majority of their family, like I have. Maybe they don’t want to sit around thinking about how it’s not the same anymore. Those people need a place. I need that place. I need those people. So I guess I would just like to hear from the Fork Nation if that is something that y’all would enjoy. Obviously, it would be open for anybody, but I feel there’s a need for a place people can go to just not be alone. Thoughts?
