A great example of why having a strong strategy matters in today’s market.

Ryanna recently helped Scot & Ginny move from Connecticut to North Carolina so they could be closer to their first grandbaby. They were looking for a home that could accommodate their home gym, fit their budget, and give them the pool they had always wanted.

When they found a home that checked the boxes but was slightly above their price point, Ryanna took a closer look at the numbers. She pulled comparable sales, researched why the home had been sitting on the market, looked at what was important to the sellers, and helped put together a strategy for the offer.

Their first offer was rejected, but they came back with the comps and information to support their position. With increased inventory giving buyers more room to negotiate, they were able to reach a price that worked for everyone.

And now they’re officially homeowners - with a pool to enjoy and family nearby. 🏊‍♀️

Thinking about buying a home but worried about mortgage rates?

You can’t control where rates go next, but you *can* control several factors that can affect the rate you qualify for - and ultimately, your monthly payment.

Here are 3 areas worth focusing on:

🏡 1. Your credit score
A stronger credit score can help you qualify for better loan terms and potentially a lower interest rate. If you’re planning to buy, it’s worth knowing where your credit stands before you start shopping.

💰 2. Your loan options
Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA loans all have different requirements and terms. Your loan type, loan term and whether you choose a fixed or adjustable rate can all affect your payment. Talk with a lender about your options rather than assuming there’s only one path.

🔨 3. The home you choose
