INDIANA TAX SALE SEMINAR

Here are other important details for this event , this coming Friday, August 7, 2026 :
OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS
1. Arrive Early - 7:30am recommended , get a seat where you are comfortable or have access to plug in your devices. (Bring extension chords, juice paks).
2. Food/Drink morning water, juice, coffee, soda and bagels & donuts are free, provided throughout the day while supplies lasts. Lunch is on your own.
3. Start On time - we have a full day of speakers, we WILL START AT 8:00am
4. Parking - Validation will be given by hotel staff , it is your responsibility to seek our parking validation before you leave for the day
5. Bring A Computer - not required but highly recommended. Doing this on your phone will prove frustrating. We do NOT provide computers.
6. Extension Chords, Juice Paks, other plug in needs - there is limited power plug ins along the walls
7. Wifi - The Sheraton will provide public wifi, the password to log on will be announced when you arrive.
8. Lunch - Lunch is on your own. We do provide lunch for our speakers and staff but most attendees like leaving for an hour on their own.
9. CLE & CE hours submission - It is your responsibility to submit whatever CLE or CE hours you are requesting us to submit for your.
10. QUESTIONS - submit in advance to make sure they are answered the day of the seminar. You may of course participate throughout the day in any segment of the seminar for which you have interest. This seminar is for you to learn new things, not for speakers to promote themselves.

9-0 ... Pung v Isabella County has been decided. I thought this might be a split decision or at least have a dissent. However, on the heels of 2023's Tyler v Hennepin County, (also a 9-0 decision), delinquent property tax lien sale auctions are a necessary component of fulfilling county budgets. While delinquent property tax lien sale auctions in Indiana represent a "lien" sale only, (NOT a deed or conveyance the day of the auction), these sales do produce results.

** We are taking a year off from having a Judicial Panel. The Judicial Panel is highly likely to return in 2027. This was strategic to wait until AFTER Pung v Isabella Co (Michigan) is decided by the US Supreme Court and the Indiana legislature has a chance to make changes to the Indiana tax sale statute (IF) needed.
