INDIANA TAX SALE SEMINAR

9-0 ... Pung v Isabella County has been decided. I thought this might be a split decision or at least have a dissent. However, on the heels of 2023's Tyler v Hennepin County, (also a 9-0 decision), delinquent property tax lien sale auctions are a necessary component of fulfilling county budgets. While delinquent property tax lien sale auctions in Indiana represent a "lien" sale only, (NOT a deed or conveyance the day of the auction), these sales do produce results.

This was strategic to wait until AFTER Pung v Isabella Co (Michigan) is decided by the US Supreme Court and the Indiana legislature has a chance to make changes to the Indiana tax sale statute (IF) needed.
