In our line of work, we see many businesses consider mergers and acquisitions — especially in the summer when market conditions are favorable. If you find that your business may be ready for this big step, here are several key considerations to keep in mind:

☑️ Strategic Fit: Does the target company align with your long-term goals? Ensuring a strategic fit is crucial for maximizing growth and profitability.

☑️ Financial Health: Conducting a thorough financial review is essential to understand liabilities, revenue streams, and overall stability.

☑️ Due Diligence: Performing comprehensive legal and operational assessments helps uncover potential risks and integration challenges.

☑️ Cultural Integration: Merging teams and company cultures can be complex. Planning for a smooth transition is vital for maintaining productivity.

✅ Who will make decisions on your behalf if you cannot
✅ Your values and what quality of life means to you
✅ Any specific religious or personal beliefs that guide your care

As Flag Day approaches on June 14, it’s the perfect time to honor the U.S. flag and reflect on the proper ways to display it. Here are some key rules to remember:

✅ While clothes often have flags on them, the flag itself should never be worn or used as bedding or drapery.
✅ Always illuminate the flag if it's flown after sunset.
✅ The U.S. flag should always be at the highest point when displayed with other flags.
✅ Never let the flag touch the ground. Take care when handling it!
✅ The flag should never be carried flat; it should flow freely.
✅ A worn or tattered flag should be respectfully retired, typically through respectful burning.
✅ There are specific guidelines for lowering the flag to half-staff to honor national figures and fallen heroes.

Flag Day is a time to reflect on this powerful symbol of our nation's history. Whether you're flying the flag or simply pausing for a moment of appreciation, let’s honor it with respect and pride.
