Cutest scoop team ever amirite?! We only hire the sweetest ones at honey bear 💓 our girls look forward to seeing you back at the stand this week!! Please note that we are opening later tomorrow - Thursday, July 31st - 12-6pm. Friday and Saturday resume normal summer hours, 10am-8pm. We have a few tricks up our sleeve this week! 🕵️‍♀️ a special (trendy) summer affogato with Dark Star debuts tomorrow 👀 maybe two… and Blueberry Pie returns to the menu in both scoops and pints!! We’re still rocking a 15 FLAVOR dipping cabinet this week! But Butter Pecan and Bacio will soon kick the bucket. The temps outside look *finally* wonderful this weekend & we hope you’ll come see our girls at our stand + Natalie and the trailer team on Saturday at 11am-5pm!! STORM CLEAN-UP OPERATIONS, JULY 1

Here is a rundown of current cleanup information. We will continue to provide updates throughout the day.

⛈Storm Cleanup:
Crews are out today clearing storm debris and assessing damage from last night's storms.

We are compiling a list of road closures and will share that here. In the meantime, do not drive around any road closure barricades.

🗑Trash Collection:
Waste Connections will collect trash and recycling from accessible routes today. They will return tomorrow to reach the areas they were unable to collect.

🅿️Parking:
Both residential and metered parking enforcement is lifted for today. Parking is free at the Pomfret Street Garage as well.

🔌Power Outages:
As of 8:15 a.m., approximately 900 people are still without power in the Borough. Residents can visit https://omap.prod.pplweb.com/OMAP to check on the status or report an outage. Outages can also be reported by calling 1-800-DIAL-PPL (1-800-342-5775) or by texting "outage" to "TXTPPL".

🚦Traffic Signals:
If you encounter a traffic signal that is out due to a power outage, treat it as a four-way stop. If it is flashing red, it should be treated as a stop sign. If it is flashing yellow, proceed with caution only when traffic permits.

☀️ Summer begins today — and a major heat wave is right behind it. ⚠️

From overheating and sunburn to dehydration and heatstroke, extreme temperatures can be life-threatening for both dogs and cats.

This quick guide shares simple steps to help keep your dog safe in the summer heat. While it's especially important for brachycephalic breeds, dogs with dark coats, and those with underlying health conditions, high temperatures pose a risk to all dogs.

The safest place for your pet during extreme heat is indoors, ideally with air conditioning.
