My journey in law is rooted in a deep-seated commitment to serving those in need within our community. My journey in the legal field began with an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice, followed by earning my Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Prior to becoming an attorney, I served at the Kentucky Court of Justice from 2010 to 2018. My role as the Drug Court program supervisor for the 18th Judicial C
ircuit from 2011 to 2018 was a pivotal experience in my career. Leading this program, I was deeply involved in initiatives to expand access to substance abuse treatment and mental health services in the 18th Judicial Circuit, which eventually lead to the successful acquisition of a substantial Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant. With this grant, the 18th Circuit was able to expand their already thirving Drug Court program to serve more individuals at an earlier stage in court system, providing earlier intervention in hopes to produce a greater impact on the community. This experience profoundly shaped my desire to pursue a career in law, fueling my passion to serve those in need in our community. As an attorney, I am committed to advocating for my clients with the same dedication and compassion that guided me through my early career in the judicial system.
