Scarmazzi Homes is honored to become the founding naming sponsor of the Canon Theatre and support a project that will bring new opportunities, experiences, and economic impact to the community we’re proud to call home!
CECI announced today that Scarmazzi Homes has made a landmark naming rights investment, becoming the founding naming sponsor of the Canon Theatre, the region's most anticipated cultural destinations.
"My wife and I love our hometown, and supporting the Canon Theatre is simply our way of giving back to the community," said Paul Scarmazzi, owner of Scarmazzi Homes and Vice President of the CECI Board of Directors. "When we considered this opportunity, we saw it as an investment not only in a theatre, but in the future of Canonsburg."
Coming on the heels of CECI's recent appointment of its inaugural Managing Director, Scarmazzi Homes' commitment represents the most significant private investment in the Canon Theatre project to date, providing important momentum as fundraising continues toward the theatre's anticipated fall 2026 opening.
The Canon Theatre is expected to serve as an economic catalyst for the region, generating new visitor spending, supporting local businesses, and creating opportunities for partnerships with schools, nonprofit organizations, and community groups. Based on a feasibility study commissioned by CECI, the Canon Theatre is projected to generate an estimated $13.8 million in economic impact during its fi rst full year of operation and nearly $250 million over the next two decades.
Additional sponsorship and naming opportunities remain available to help bring CECI's long-term vision for the Canon Theatre and the broader cultural campus to life. To support the project or to get involved, visit goceci.org
