As early voting gets underway here in North Carolina, many Buncombe County residents will find that our county commissioner districts have changed. Myself and many Candler residents are no longer in District 3 and are now in District 1. For those of you who live in the area around Hominy Valley Elementary all the way over to Bent Creek, I'd like to introduce you to my friend, Matt Kern for County Commission, who is running for County Commissioner in our new District 1.

I've known Matt Kern for over 20 years and he is a genuinely generous and exceptional member of this community. Big decision to make here at The Sutton Firm. About 22 years ago, this bag was purchased by me as one of first items I bought as a newly licensed attorney. It’s been with me on bad days, good days and all the court days in between. It’s been a holder of secrets, reassuring and affirming confidence, while doing a pretty stand up job of holding files, etc. it’s got quite a bit of sentimental value at this point. However, it is pretty beat up and yesterday the zipper on one side broke and jammed up. So the big decision is whether to chunk it in the trash and replace it or do I try to find someone who can repair it?
