Has yesterday's event sunk in, yet? Do you not know what to do? Then pray. If you don't know what to pray, please let me help you. Heavenly, Father, You are almighty and power. Nothing surprises you, but much sadness you. For the enemy lurks about, looking for his next victim. Since the fallen angel, earth is full of sin and we must be prepared for Satan's appearance. Lord of Lord, God of God, during this difficult time, I will still praise you. I will praise you for the Secret Service and Police who jumped into action, ready to give their lives for another. I will praise You because no matter what happened yesterday, or happens today, or will happen tomorrow, You are the Judge with the final say. I will praise You that though one life was taken, many were spared. I don't rejoice for the lost of one, but the saving of many. Lord, our hearts are heavy for what happened yesterday. I pray for the Trump family even though I don't personally know them. I pray they become closer as a family and value each other more than ever. I pray they continue to reach out to you. I pray for the Secret Service and Police and for their families. Families who know their loved ones leave their homes every day and worry they might not return. Was the last kiss, the last kiss? I pray they all return home every day and if they don't return, they know Jesus and their place in heaven. I pray for all of the attendees of the event. They never imagined how their lives were going to be impacted yesterday. Few were physically harmed, and most were mentally harmed. Many will probably seek counseling and carry a fear or anxiety for many years to come. Lord, heal their minds. Lord, I pray they seek you for hope. Lord, touch the hearts of those who are numb and/or agree with yesterday's outcome. Give them compassion for human life. Lord, we thank you for Jesus Christ, who carried our sins on the cross and who died so that "whoever believes in him will have eternal life." In Jesus's name I lift up this prayer. Amen John 3:16 "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:12
