Mileage rates have increased beginning July 1, 2026.
This is another year for split mileage reimbursement rates.
JAN 1 through JUNE 30 at 72.5 cents per mile
JULY 1 through DECEMBER 31 at .76 per mile.

It is YOUR responsibility to maintain and keep track of your mileage if you wish to utilize mileage for your business.

It's IRS letter season apparently. In the past week, we've received several calls regarding IRS notices being received by clients. These notices are automatically generated by the computers.

The particular notice is a CP53E notice. (Upper right hand corner)

It asks you to verify your banking information.

Please do not panic. If you insisted on receiving a check for your refund, rather than direct deposit, the IRS wants you to update your bank information on your IRS online account. If you dont wish to do this, a paper check will be issued, later.

If you had a balance owed, these letters are going out as well. Please check your bank and verify the withdrawal was made. The computers will talk to each other and most of these notices will self correct.

That's a wrap my friends!!! Today was filing deadline day. An extension affords you 6 months to file, but your balance was due today.

If you didnt like the results of your return this year, call us and schedule a tax planning appointment. We are here all year.
