Wondering about the trend of folks moving out of NYC into Saratoga County?

Saratoga County had relatively limited migration from the NYC area before the pandemic. Between January 2018 and February 2020, Saratoga had 230 total requests. Between March 2020 and January 2021, there were 987 total requests. March 2020 saw the most single-month requests for Saratoga County with 129 total requests. The rate of requests decreased steadily until December 2020 and January 2021, where there was another bump in requests.

The Numbers..........
Northeast and Western US Sales up 30% by volume year over year.

From National Association of Realtors:
July marked the second consecutive month that year-over-year sales and median home prices grew in each of the four major regions of the country.

Northeast: Sales up 30.6%, median home price ($317,800) up 4%.
West: Sales up 30.5%, median home price ($453,800) up 11.3%.
Midwest: Sales up 27.5%, median home price ($244,500) up 8%.
South: Sales up 19.4%, median home price ($268,500), up 9.9%.
