When your child turns 18, they’re legally an adult — even if you’re still reminding them to schedule their dentist appointments.
What many parents don’t realize is that once your child hits this milestone, you can no longer access their medical records, help with financial accounts, or make emergency decisions — unless you’ve got the right legal documents in place.
In this free workshop, we’ll walk you through exactly what your newly minted adult needs (and why), including the documents that can keep you legally able to step in during a crisis — or even just offer support when they ask for it.
Plus, we’ll show you how to create these documents the easy way — and invite you to have them properly signed, witnessed, and notarized at the end of the workshop. Please note - young adult and parent must both be present to complete documents during the workshop.
Registration is not required but it is encouraged.
We're excited to partner with Ballston Community Public Library for this free workshop!
