July 2026 Southeast Wisconsin Housing Market Update

Racine and Kenosha counties both posted double-digit price growth in July — Racine's median hit $340,000 (up 12.2%) and Kenosha's climbed to $375,000 (up 13.6%), with homes in both counties selling in under three weeks.

Waukesha County told a different story: new listings jumped 14.2% and the median actually eased 4.8% to $500,000, giving buyers a bit more breathing room. Walworth County stayed the most negotiable market in our area, with homes averaging 48 days on market and prices essentially flat year over year.

June 2026 Southeast Wisconsin Housing Market Update

Metro MLS's county-by-county numbers are in for June, and Racine and Kenosha counties are leading the way: Racine's median sale price hit $345,000 (up 11.5% year-over-year), while Kenosha's climbed to $360,000 (up 20%). Homes across the region averaged just 19 days on market, and pending sales jumped 30.6% heading into late summer.

Walworth County tells a different story — homes there are taking about 50 days to sell on average, giving buyers more room to negotiate, especially in lake-area markets like Lake Geneva and Elkhorn.
