Is it your Time To MOVE?
My close friend who's moving out of state said that it's the longest time she's lived in a house, 10 years and longest time she's lived in the same area, 20 years. It's certainly unique for her since her father was a Captain in US Air Force and moving was common place. Growing up in the 70's in a small rural town in SW Virginia, I knew many couples/families that stayed in there homes well after their children were grown. Today, homeowners now stay 11 years vs. 6–7 pre-recession. Buyers from 2016 may be nearing a move as tenure lengths reset.
