It's hilarious that Jeanine Pirro turns out to be the first prosecutor who CANNOT in fact indict a ham sandwich.😅

She couldn’t read maps, but Harriet Tubman memorized every bend in the Combahee River. In 1863, her mind became a crucial asset for the Union Army.

Beginning in 1861, Tubman served the Union as a scout, spy, and nurse. Her most famous military operation was the Combahee River Raid on June 2, 1863.

She expertly guided Colonel James Montgomery and 150 Black Union soldiers from the 2nd South Carolina Volunteers up the river, skillfully avoiding Confederate mines.

The raid successfully destroyed bridges, plantations, and vital stores of crops, significantly crippling Confederate supply lines.

Through this daring action, over 750 enslaved people were liberated, many of whom then joined the Union Army to fight for their freedom.

Tubman had also established an effective intelligence network, recruiting spies from enslaved communities to gather critical information on Confederate troop movements.

This raid marked her as the first woman to lead a U.S. military raid. Despite her invaluable service, Tubman was denied a pension for her military contributions until 1899, decades after the war.

Her strategic use of local knowledge and the collaborative effort with Black soldiers and Colonel Montgomery highlight the raid's significant economic and human impact.
