It was an honor to spend time today with the Bunkie Lions Club and visit with so many individuals who are dedicated to serving our community.

The Committee to Elect Kirk LaCour for District Judge extends its sincere appreciation to the Bunkie Lions Club for the opportunity to share Kirk’s judicial philosophy and discuss the importance of integrity, fairness, and fidelity to the rule of law. The thoughtful questions, meaningful conversation, and genuine fellowship made for an enjoyable and productive afternoon.

We would also like to thank Craig Pujol and the members of the Bunkie Lions Club for their warm hospitality. The Lions have a long tradition of putting service above self, and their commitment to improving our communities is something we deeply admire.

Throughout his career, Kirk has been committed to public service—as a first responder, firefighter, law enforcement officer, paramedic, attorney, municipal magistrate, and municipal attorney. That same spirit of service is what motivates him to seek the office of District Judge for Division B of the 12th Judicial District Court.

Thank you again to the Bunkie Lions Club for welcoming us. We appreciate the opportunity to listen, answer questions, and share our vision for a court that is guided by Integrity • Fairness • Justice.

Early voting begins October 17, 2026. Election Day is November 3, 2026.

Today, after careful consideration, prayer, and discussions with my family, friends, and members of our community, I am proud to announce my candidacy for Judge of the 12th Judicial District Court, Division “B,” serving the people of Avoyelles Parish.

Avoyelles Parish has always been my home. It is where I was raised, where I built my career, and where I have dedicated my life to serving others through the practice of law and community involvement. Throughout my legal career, I have worked diligently to uphold the law, protect the rights of others, and approach every matter with fairness, professionalism, and respect.

I believe our courts must remain grounded in integrity, impartiality, accountability, and faithful application of the law. Every individual who enters a courtroom deserves to be treated with dignity and to know that their case will be heard fairly, honestly, and without favoritism. If elected, I will work every day to uphold those principles and to serve the citizens of Avoyelles Parish with the professionalism and judicial temperament this office demands.

This campaign is not about politics. It is about public trust, respect for the law, and ensuring that our judicial system serves the people fairly and honorably.

I humbly ask for your support, your prayers, and ultimately your vote on Election Day, November 3, 2026.

The Climate Prediction Center just put out their two week tropical hazards outlook. Look, water is wet and once we get past Aug 20th, the tropics will likely pop off storm after storm. We sit back, don’t panic and watch each disturbance. I’m sure you’ll see this graphic circulating around so I wanted to get ahead of things. Note, the next signal for the LRC comes August 17-24th.
