The mission of the Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo is to provide access to justice and due process to the most vulnerable individuals, children and families in the Western New York community through quality legal representation and assistance. We provide legal assistance to low-income residents of Erie County, Niagara County, Cattaraugus County, Orleans County, and Chautauqua County in a variety of civil and criminal matters.

This Attorneys’ Union position will represent clients in Surrogate’s Court and assist with estate-related matters, including wills, powers of attorney, property deeds and petitions.

Salary starting at $83,959–$103,212, based on relevant experience

No one wants to see residents lose their home to foreclosure. That's why the City of Buffalo is working with local organizations like the Western New York Law Center, Center for Elder Law & Justice, and Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo, Inc. to hold a free information session at the Frank E. Merriweather Library today, Wednesday, July 29, and Thursday, August 6, from 4-7PM.

These sessions will help at-risk homeowners find out what you owe, the redemption date, and connect with legal services.

If you have received notices that your property is in jeopardy for foreclosure, take advantage of these resources 𝙣𝙤𝙬. If you wait until after the August 28 deadline, it will be far more difficult and expensive to avoid foreclosure.
