A very disappointing opinion out of the Texas Supreme Court today holding that when a prosecutor gets fired for following the law and disclosing exculpatory information to a defendant, the prosecutor can't sue for the wrongful termination. We know wrongful convictions have come from prosecutors hiding information but the Court found that conduct protected by immunity.

Some people care enough about the direction of our Supreme Court to offer organs to keep Ruth Bader Ginsburg (aka Notorious RBG) going another 5 years. Glad she's up for it.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 85, would like to stay working until she is 90 years old. If Ginsburg remains on the Supreme Court for 5 more years, she could outlast Donald Trump as president.

Prosecutors are often willing to see just what they can get courts and juries to find are deadly weapons. They have succeeded in finding things as diverse as telephones (Amarillo Court of Appeals) to lighter fluid (Austin Court of Appeals) to a septic tank. (Court of Criminal Appeals). Now a Dallas grand jury has alleged that a computer .GIF image was sent to cause a seizure and the image was a deadly weapon.
