Brazos Valley Dispute Resolution Center The Dispute Resolution Center- Central Brazos Valley, Inc is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) corp

The mission of the Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) is to facilitate the resolution of conflicts by utilizing impartial third parties applying mediation and other alternative dispute resolution techniques in Texas. The DRC provides trained volunteer mediators to assist individuals with resolving their conflicts and disputes. The DRC offers a quick, practical and inexpensive way to resolve conflict. Mediators are trained and skilled in techniques that assist disputants in finding creative solutions for themselves.

Mediation is one of the most widely used alternatives to litigation, but many people don’t fully understand how it works until they’re already in conflict.

Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process where a neutral third party helps people in conflict work toward their own solution; essentially it’s “assisted negotiation”. The mediator does not decide the outcome; instead, they safeguard a fair process and guide communication.

Congratulations to our latest graduates of the Advanced (Family) Mediation Training course here at the Brazos Valley Dispute Resolution Center.
These folks have completed their intensive 30 hour training and are officially equipped to help families move from conflict to “WE AGREED”! Thank you to our graduates for your hard work and commitment to serving the Brazos Valley community.

We just graduated our newest class of peacemakers! It was another great class. Special mention is "Norie" who receives the distinguished honor of being the most "paws-itive" member of the class- nothing de-escalates a dispute faster than a fluffy face.

We also took some fun time to celebrate our Case Manager, Whitney's 50th birthday ( twice 25 or 1/2 a hundred).
Congratulations to all today- we now have our newest mediators and moral support puppies ready to help you settle things the friendly way!

One of our sweet mediators, Noelle, just buzzed in with some homemade Buddy Honey for the team! At the Dispute Resolution Center, we believe the best way to settle disputes is with a little extra sweetness (and zero stingers).
