Dismissal Alert! 🚨‼️

Client was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A crime punishable up to 20 years in prison. After fierce negotiations the State offered a significant reduction (class B misdemeanor) in exchange for a guilty plea. Although most would have considered a downward reduction of 5 degrees, a win. I couldn’t stand by a wrongful conviction no matter how small. An assault, irrespective to the degree; is a HUGE scarlet letter. Employment and housing opportunities are diminished and making a livable income becomes near impossible. We prepared to take the case before a jury and days before trial the state dismissed the case.

The Brownsville Police Department would like to inform our community of the current trend in THC Oil Va**ng. Since CBD has become legal, many still do not understand that THC Oil is illegal.

What is THC Oil?

THC is the chemical in the Cannabis Strain (Ma*****na) that produces a high sensation when consumed. CBD comes from the same plant but is used for medical purposes in its chemical form, which is claimed not to have any intoxicating effects. THC is a thicker yellowish liquid that can be smoked with a V**e, among many other ways. THC Oil is a higher concentrate and is more potent than the plant itself. This is a form of using ma*****na and causes the user to get a quicker high.

If you are arrested for THC Oil, you will be charged with a State Jail Felony and not a Misdemeanor. Many can purchase THC Oil online on different websites. Those are out-of-state websites where ma*****na is legal. In Texas, THC Oil is illegal, and you will be charged accordingly.

Keep in mind that the use of THC Oil and Ma*****na is against the law, and you can face jail time.
