Today, TMU Law Partner Lawrence Mottola obtained a NOT GUILTY verdict on ALL COUNTS after our client was wrongfully accused of unlawfully possessing fi****ms.

After the verdict, the jurors requested to speak with Mr. Mottola regarding their decision. Said one juror, "We felt there was too much doubt in the case to return a guilty verdict. We believe the police made mistakes during the arrest and contaminated evidence on the scene. We feel that the DA's office indicted the wrong person." Many jurors commended Mr. Mottola on his hard work, passion, and advocacy for the client.

The client's family expressed their gratitude for Mr. Mottola's zealous representation. "We are overwhelmed with happiness. You never know what a jury is going to do, so we thank the Lord that they made the right decision. Mr. Mottola is amazing, and now our loved one is coming home to us," said one family member.

“It’s a ‘gimme’ to the unions and lowers accountability. If they care about accountability, this is the worst decision possible," says Townsend.

The new policy allows three serious types of misconduct — uses of force, mistaken releases of detainees and sleeping on duty — to be handled for the first time by low-level command disciplines, with penalties ranging from a stern talking to by a facility boss to 10 lost vacation days.
