The Zuckerbergs found themselves embroiled in legal proceedings. No charges have been brought against the founder of Facebook and his wife - claims of harassment and violation of labor rights have been filed against companies related to Zuckerberg. Mia King worked as a Security Assistant at Limitless Specialty Services LLC, which provides security services to the family. King (black people and LGBT), in her statement, indicated that she was subjected to humiliating remarks that related to race and gender, as well as inappropriate assessments of her breasts; when she complained, she was told that "men are in charge here", plus she was not appropriately paid overtime work.
A similar story is for the second applicant, John Doe (pseudonym) - he is openly gay and worked as a household manager for the family. He claims to have listened to the anti-gay talk and never received an overworking reward.
All of this follows the Facebook scandal, so these may be links in the same chain. Let's see.

The right to free choice is one of the fundamental human rights. The five amendments to the state constitution that can change the future of New York State will be critical points this year.
They are all essential, and New Yorkers are expected to familiarize themselves with each of them before they vote. The points can be especially highlighted:
- the right to clean air, clean water, and a healthy environment: these are human rights that all families in New York deserve, but throughout our city, these rights are violated every day;
- cancellation of the requirement to register voters ten days before voting, authorization of absentee voting without good reason: these archaic rules are meaningless, arbitrary, and useless. If the right to vote is as sacred as we say, we must recognize that the current New York City system does not exude this virtue and is committed to change.
Justice is often sought but rarely achieved. These changes will protect our fundamental rights to life and freedom.

Co-captain of the U.S. women's team jersey, sports icon Billie Jean King and World Cup champion Megan Rapino, and WNBA stars Leisha Clarendon and Brianna Turner join more than 150 fellow athletes in women's sports in supporting equal opportunity to participate in sports girls and women who are transgender. The athletes have joined the Women's National Basketball Association and the Women's Sports Fund as signatories to a short Lambda judgment filed in the United States. A case of rejection of challenging the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference policy for transgender students to participate in school sports.
The Transgender Legal Defense and Education Foundation (TLDEF), a non-profit transgender litigation group based in New York City, has unveiled plans to form a union, citing insufficient health coverage and other shortcomings. TLDEF is known for fighting gender-based anti-discrimination policies in health care, work, schools, and other areas. They had already faced internal human rights abuses when two colored trans employees were denied gender-affirming surgeries under their health plan.

The nonprofit HHREC (Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center), which conducts educational programs with local schools, received the Saved Sefer Torah of the Holocaust from the Yorktown Jewish Center, which after 68 years of working with the congregation of Greater Yorktown Heights, New York was closed. “We are very saddened by the news of the closure of the synagogue, and we are flattered by the generosity of our friends from the center; we will work hard to continue their mission of enlightenment with this unique artifact,” commented Millie Jasper, Executive Director of HHREC. For many years, the educational center's programs have provided an opportunity to look through the prism of human rights violations at the problems associated with the Holocaust.

Ahead of the Games in 2022, the US Beijing Olympians raised concerns about human rights. Olympic veterans in the United States did not support the boycott of the Beijing Games but denounced the ongoing genocide against Uighurs and other Muslim minorities. Human rights groups and US lawmakers have called on the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to postpone the 2022 Games and reschedule the event. The United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) has said it would prioritize educating its athletes on global issues ahead of the Games, where some may face rights problems in China. “Athletes have voices, and why not use them,” two-time Olympic champion Luger Tucker West told reporters on Tuesday. "Everyone deserves to be treated equally with respect, dignity, and fairness." Many athletes believe that since people talk about an issue and the Olympic Games cover it, and they are already a step in that direction.

Yesterday, on World Teachers' Day, the United Nations Global Fund for Education in Emergencies reported providing quality education to more than 4.6 million children in more than 30 of the world's worst humanitarian crises.

🔶The Foundation's new annual report highlights the importance of investing in teaching staff to support and promote learning for crisis-hit boys and girls.

🔸Despite all the advances, the report highlights that COVID-19 has acted as a risk driver, creating new challenges and increasing significant risks for the most vulnerable groups, especially children and adolescents with disabilities.

💬In her speech, Education Director Yasmin Sheriff noted:
"Humanity can win if we are ready to invest in it and provide these children and adolescents with access to inclusive 12-year quality education. It supports achieving sustainable development goals, investing in peace, investing in our future, and investing in our universal human rights and shared Humanity. "

Some countries, such as Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, use the capabilities of Interpol to expand their jurisdiction beyond their borders, which leads to the arrest, detention, and prosecution abroad of many innocent victims, citizens of other states.

🔸Innocent people have been listed on Interpol's list, arrested, detained, and tried for "crimes" that do not even meet Interpol's minimum reporting criteria.

Numerous arrest warrants issued in these countries for violating Interpol's charter have been canceled - the time has come to bring Interpol itself to legal responsibility. A US citizen has suffered severely as a result of the wrongful red notice.

The time has come for US politicians to rethink Interpol's sovereign immunity and promote the accountability of such influential organizations.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when New York is mentioned?

Most likely, Times Square and the bustle of one of the busiest cities in the world.
But there are so many historical sites and national parks in this state - from the Statue of Liberty to Niagara Falls.

🔸Probably, there is no need to explain the meaning of the struggle for civil rights. This once paved the way for women's rights - you can explore the legacy of the first Convention on the Rights of Women by visiting the National Historical Park for Women's Rights.

Guided by a ranger, the guided tour will tell you the story of the struggle for women's equality and civil rights and how it goes a long way when it comes to issues that women, unfortunately, still face today.

🔸In Declaration Park, the signatures of the women present are engraved on a 100-foot bluestone water wall where the text of the Declaration of Feelings is placed.

All of this shows the importance of this place in American history.

In October, the Panhandle-Plains Museum of History (PPHM), through Sybil B. Harrington's College of Fine Arts and Humanities, will showcase in partnership with the Department of History at West Texas A&M University rare human rights texts in America. The exhibition is called "Theme - Freedom".

🔸The press release indicated that the Remnant Trust Public Education has a unique collection of "manuscripts, first editions and early works on the subject of personal dignity, some dating back to 2500 B.C.".
The exhibition should draw attention to rare classical texts on personal freedom and responsibility to society.

💬Exhibition organizer Dr. Bruce Brasington:
“From John Milton and Algernon Sidney in the 17th century to Frederick Douglas and Elizabeth Cady Stanton in the 19th century, we encounter women and men who have challenged the political, social and cultural status quo, defending human freedom from any forms of oppression and prejudice. Their task is no less urgent today".

A mattress store employee was fired in Westchester for writing inappropriate political messages about religion and sexual orientation.

🔸However, he did it in his free time and from his mobile phone.
In response, the man filed a complaint with the Westchester Supreme Court, accusing the firm and its management of religious discrimination.

✔️The fact is that the now-former store employee exchanged messages with his brother about religion and sexual orientation, discussing his cousin, who identifies herself as an LGBT community. He claims that he cannot be fired for his beliefs under the New York Human Rights Act.
He admits that his words in the messages were not politically correct but "nevertheless, were inspired by his Catholic upbringing and faith and, therefore, represent a protected doctrine."

🔸The man calls the main argument in his complaint that it was outside of working hours and without office equipment. With the help of a lawyer, he demands a refund, advance payment, and compensation for moral damages.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights remains a beacon of hope for the entire world, even 70 years after its adoption. 📄

🔸It conveys that injustice everywhere is a threat to justice everywhere and that human rights violations must not be allowed to continue unchecked.

🔸It is important to remember that the declaration defends the right of every person to life, freedom, and security. It enshrines the rights to a fair trial, privacy, freedom of expression and association, and freedom to wash in religion and conscience. In addition, it emphasizes fundamental social and economic rights such as the right to work and form trade unions.

📌As Roosevelt said about documents expressing ideals: "they do not weigh if people do not know them if people do not understand them if people do not demand that they live."

❗️Remember your rights! And if you understand that someone is infringing on them, do not delay; contact a lawyer!
