The Taylor family owns car rental companies Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent a Car through parent company Enterprise Mobility.

Jack Taylor (d. 2016) founded Enterprise in 1957 after serving in World War II. Enterprise has more than 90,000 employees and operates in more than 90 countries and territories.

The Marriott family is one of America's richest families.

John Willard "J.W." Marriott and his wife Alice got their start opening a nine-stool A&W root beer stand in Washington, D.C. with $6,000 in 1927.

The family shifted to hotels in 1957, when they opened the world's largest motor hotel in Arlington, Virginia.

Today, Marriott International operates nearly 9,800 properties in 145 countries and territories across the globe under 30-plus names, including Westin, Sheraton, Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis.
