When you hear real estate, it often comes with the catch phrase “Location, Location, Location.”

There is a reason for that BUT it will not always mean the same for everyone.

Location for you may be based on -

1. Distance to work and/or school
2. Walkability to downtown/restaurants
3. Amenities: Pool, Parks, Gyms, Nature Trails, etc.
4. Privacy (Ex: comes with minimal amount of land and no neighbors in sight)
5. Family friendly

These are important factors in determining which location(s) you should be looking into & then once you figure that out, is when you will have a higher success of finding your next or new HOME

If you have not taken full advantage of the following 3 areas of Bridgeport, you are truly missing out:

BEARDSLEY PARK is a 125 acre park located in the North End of Bridgeport with plenty of walkways, softball/baseball fields, playgrounds and the only accredited Zoo in the state. You can spend the day just relaxing and enjoying a cookout with family and friends.

SEASIDE PARK is a 325 acre park with a 3 mile beach surrounded by the Long Island Sound in the South End neighborhood. Like Beardsley Park, plenty of walkways, softball/baseball fields, playground, ramps for Skateboarders and an outdoor gym. Soccer is always on deck as is Volleyball. You can even catch many Yoga in the Park sessions throughout the Summer as well as catching Live Music at the Bandshell. Not to mention, a beautiful track around it surrounded by nature’s best.

ST MARY’S BY THE SEA is located in the Black Rock neighborhood. It is not a park, but it is a very popular area to go for a walk OR relax and enjoy views of the Black Rock Harbor & Long Island Sound. Bird and Wildlife watching is a popular attraction as well.

Spring, Winter and Fall are the BEST times to truly enjoy these beautiful areas of Bridgeport. There is no charge for any of them for Bridgeport Residents.

No worries though if you are not. You can still enjoy them - just have to either pay for parking or pay a daily rate to access. Especially the Beach at Seaside. If you don’t want to pay for parking/access, you can park on a side street and walk in.

Summer is right around the corner, and I’m excited for what’s ahead — more listings, more opportunities, more helpful conversations, and more ways to support buyers and sellers throughout Connecticut.

I find that a lot of prospective buyers are not aware of some details that takes the guess work out of them becoming homeowners
