Hot Cars Can Turn Dangerous Quickly 🚗

As the weather gets warmer, safety officials are reminding families about the dangers of hot vehicles. Even on mild days, temperatures inside a parked car can rise quickly and become life-threatening. This is an important reminder to stay vigilant, check the back seat, and keep children safe as we head into the warmer months.

The Governor’s Highway Safety Program is reminding families that vehicular heatstroke is the leading cause of non-crash, vehicle-related deaths for children 14 and younger in the U.S.

⚠️ Bridgeport OSHA Cases Send Strong Message on Worker Safety

Workers deserve to know their safety matters — and that companies can be held accountable when they cut corners. OSHA recently fined six Connecticut companies for serious safety violations, with every case handled through the Bridgeport office, showing that unsafe job sites are being investigated and addressed. These cases are a reminder that employers have a responsibility to protect the workers who keep their businesses running.

Some other state companies have been fined but their cases remain open and are subject to change.
