In April, Jameson participated in an Express Sessions panel hosted by The Express News Group at Rowdy Hall, focused on the evolving challenges facing the East Hampton Town Building Department.

The discussion explored a “perfect storm” in the department — including the suspension of enforcement of a recent law requiring updated certificates of occupancy before home sales, ongoing efforts to improve efficiency amid staffing turnover and a growing backlog, new zoning changes aimed at reducing home sizes, and recent allegations of bribery involving two former building department employees.

Jameson was joined by Kathee Burke-Gonzalez, East Hampton Town Supervisor; Christopher DiSunno, Owner and Architect, DiSunno Architecture, P.C.; Richard Normoyle, East Hampton Town Principal Building Inspector; Chris Nuzzi, President and CEO, Advantage Title; and Jake Turner, East Hampton Town Attorney.
